New Papers. It is rumored that H. Buckingham...is about to start a paper at Clyde in Cloud County. The "Duke" can make a good paper anywhere. Frank Root, formerly of the Atchison Champion, is about to start a paper at Waterville, the terminus of the C.B.U.P. He is one of the best newspapermen in the state.

One half of the Emporia News has been sold to W. W. Williams, late of Marshalltown, Iowa. The News has been, and is, one of the best weekly journals in Kansas.
