Just as the Journal has predicted for the last two years, the Messenger, the only Populist newspaper in this congressional district, is to turn turtle and will be published...as a straight Republican newspaper. W. A. Williamson of this place has leased the plant....Alf is a good printer and a good newspaperman...and the fact that he is a Republican has not interfered with his holding the place of foreman in this office for the past year.
